Grantmaking Privileges of the Donor Advised Fund
Your TCGF Donor Advised Fund affords you the advantages of a private foundation without the associated overhead expense and record keeping. Once you have established your Fund, you can recommend grants of $200 or more to any qualified nonprofit organization at any time. You can recommend as many grants as you want each year, and can even schedule annual or one time grants for future dates. You have the option of designating a grant as "anonymous."
For each contribution you make, you will receive a gift letter for tax purposes. Your annual account summary will include all grant and contribution activity for the year.
Each grant recommended by a Gift Fund donor is an example of thoughtful giving. The Tompkins Charitable Gift Fund will support you with tools and research that can help you explore your options.
